Missions and Outreach
Want to get involved? Here are just a few ways you can be in ministry through canvascommunity:
Warming Center
In January 2011, the freezing temperatures created an emergency situation for our friends on the streets. We opened a warming shelter for anyone who needed a warm, dry place to sleep. Since then, canvas has become an official emergency warming center for the city of Little Rock. You can see more of canvas’ work as a warming center here:

Dinner and a Movie
Join us each Wednesday evening for this fellowship with our neighbors who live on the streets. Dinner is served at 6 p.m., and the movie starts at 6:30 p.m. To get involved, contact John at john.ripa@sbcglobal.net
Rock of Hope
Rock of Hope is a new nonprofit in Little Rock that is helping homeless people take the steps to get off the streets and move back into society. To get involved, see their website, www.therockofhope.org or contact John at john.ripa@sbcglobal.net
Dunbar Community Garden
We have a partnership with Dunbar Community Garden (located at Chester and 18th streets). Through this partnership, we have fruits and vegetables that we use to feed the hungry of our city. “Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.” Chinese Proverb
