Missions and Outreach

Want to get involved? Here are just a few ways you can be in ministry through canvascommunity:

Warming Center

In January 2011, the freezing temperatures created an emergency situation for our friends on the streets. We opened a warming shelter for anyone who needed a warm, dry place to sleep. Since then, canvas has become an official emergency warming center for the city of Little Rock. You can see more of canvas’ work as a warming center here:

 Dunbar Community Garden

We have a partnership with Dunbar Community Garden (located at Chester and 18th streets). Through this partnership, we have fruits and vegetables that we use to feed the hungry of our city.  “Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.  Teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.” Chinese Proverb
