canvascommunity is a new faith community in The Arkansas Conference of The United Methodist Church. When you visit, you can expect:

Genuine Hospitality

Just as an artist’s canvas grows more beautiful the more color and texture are applied, canvascommunity welcomes everyone into our living work of God’s art. Canvascommunity is a safe, welcoming place for everyone — wherever your walk of life has taken you. Be prepared to share a couch, join in song and get involved.

Meaningful Worship

Our worship is deeply rooted in Christian tradition, yet experiments with the latest technology. We aren’t here to entertain or practice rituals, but to deepen our experience with God by celebrating and lifting up the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in word, song and prayer. We recognize that we don’t all share the same beliefs or background. That’s o.k. We want to meet you where you are on your faith journey.

A Place for Children

Our community welcomes and values children of all ages. We know that coming to church with kids can be a challenge, so we make every effort to make little ones welcome, including nursery care for infants and toddlers, and canvaskids for older kids.

Spiritual Growth

Wherever you are on your faith journey, you will find a safe environment where you can express your thoughts, question your beliefs, and deepen your personal understanding of God. We don’t profess to have all the answers, but we are excited to share in the discussion.

Service to Others

Whether it is opening a warming center in the middle of winter, tending to the Dunbar Community Garden in the heat of the summer, or reaching out to our neighbors in need, canvascommunity is an agent of change for Little Rock and the world. We consistently and faithfully serve — and are served by — those who need us.
